dark bandanna and latex gloves and carrying a small frame handgun. Based on the type of robbery and the description of the man and his clothing, police believe the man may be the same one who robbed several businesses in Emmett Township, Battle Creek and Springfield between August and October.
In late October detectives from several area departments said they were working together as a task force after 14 robberies were reported between Aug. 21 and Oct.25 and detectives concludedsome of them were committed by the same person.
Keys said information about the D’Nicio’s attempted robbery was distributed to other police departments.
Anyone with information about the robbery at D’Nicio’s is asked to call Emmett Township Police at 269 968 9303 or Silent Observer at 269 964 3888.
Meanwhile Emmett police are continuing their investigation of the Saturday morning robbery at Sherwin Williams Paint Store at 6431 B Drive North.
He fled with an undisclosed amount of cashand was not found. Police believe a second person may be involved but did not enter the store.
Detective Seth Graves said Monday police executed a search warrant Saturday afternoon at a home in Battle Creek and collected possible evidence but that no arrests have been made.
