Claire recently visited Emmaus Brighton Hove with fellow designer Jake Arney to pick out items for the challenge to give them a new festive lease of life.
The design duo chose a bicycle wheel, metal fruit bowl, wooden frames, costume jewellery and red and sliver fabric, which they have used to upcycle into one rustic Christmas wreath and one modern wreath.
Emmaus challenged the 13 bloggers from across the country to turn unwanted items donated to their charity shops into bespoke Christmas decorations,
jumpers, party outfits and second hand gifts.
Until Saturday 23rd December the group of bloggers will be sharing their creations on their social media channels to encourage people to visit their local Emmaus shop for a Christmas bargain.
Each week will cover a different theme featuring Christmas decorations in week one, Christmas jumpers and party outfits in week two and Christmas gifts in week three.
Claire said: “We have a few favourite places in Brighton and Hove, but one of our favourites has to be Emmaus.
“Many a day has found us rummaging around in the various areas in their shops, finding materials for our projects and having a chat and a cuppa with the wonderful companions who call Emmaus Brighton and Hove their home.”
