miami dolphin jerseys cheap Baylor’s Willie Jefferson no longer on football team
Jefferson was dismissed from the team last October after two arrests on marijuana possession charges,
but Briles allowed him to return for spring drills Feb. 28 to April 2.
Briles said no particular incident caused Jefferson’s most recent departure from the team. Briles said Jefferson is in good academic standing at Baylor and that the Bears coaching staff will help him find another football program to transfer to.
Jefferson switched from tight end to defensive end during spring drills. He made five catches for 101 yards and a touchdown in 2009 before making one catch for a 43 yard touchdown last season before he was dismissed from the team.
Jefferson was arrested along with fellow Baylor receiver Josh Gordon for marijuana possession in Waco on Oct. 3. The state dropped the case against Gordon,
but filed charges against Jefferson on Feb. 8 for Class B misdemeanor possession of less than two ounces of marijuana.
